The TAKKA Malmo dark green armchair bed is a versatile model that combines compactness, comfort and practicality. Its stylish design and deep dark green shade allow it to blend harmoniously into modern interiors, while the convenient transformation mechanism turns it from a cozy armchair into a full sleeping space.
TAKKA Malmo is an excellent choice for a living room, bedroom, children's room, home office or guest room. When folded, the model takes up minimal space, while when needed, it quickly unfolds to provide an additional sleeping area.
The model's origin is also worth highlighting: the TAKKA armchair is manufactured at a factory that specialized in producing furniture for IKEA, while maintaining the relevant quality standards. This makes the model an interesting choice for customers who value practical construction, functionality and modern design.
The main advantage of TAKKA Malmo is the ability to use one model for several purposes. During the day, it is a comfortable armchair for relaxing, reading, watching movies or spending time with family, while when needed, it transforms into a sleeping space.
This solution is especially relevant for small apartments, studios and rooms where every square meter matters.
The armchair bed can be placed in the living room next to a sofa, used in a children's room or positioned in the bedroom as an additional place to relax. TAKKA Malmo is also an excellent choice for a guest room where you need the option of accommodating overnight guests.
TAKKA Malmo is equipped with a practical transformation mechanism with pull-out rollers.
Thanks to this mechanism, the armchair can be transformed from a compact model into a spacious sleeping area. In its folded position, it has a width of just 90 cm, while when unfolded, the width increases to 229 cm.
This allows you to create a spacious sleeping area while keeping the furniture compact for everyday use.
The mechanism is particularly convenient for living rooms and small apartments where furniture needs to be multifunctional and easily adaptable to different needs.
TAKKA Malmo is manufactured using materials selected with durability and comfort in mind.
The construction includes:
The combination of these materials creates a reliable armchair construction and a comfortable surface for relaxing.
The wooden slats are an important part of the base and provide the necessary support. The foam provides softness and comfort when sitting and relaxing.
The armchair is upholstered in Category 4 matting fabric.
Matting has a distinctive woven texture and is well suited to modern upholstered furniture. Its textured surface gives the armchair a stylish and cozy appearance.
The material beautifully emphasizes the deep dark green color, which becomes a distinctive accent in the interior.
Dark green upholstery pairs especially well with:
This color creates a calm and cozy atmosphere while adding character to the interior.
Dark green remains a popular choice for modern interiors. It is associated with nature, tranquility and coziness while still providing a distinctive visual accent.
TAKKA Malmo can be used as a standalone color accent or combined with other upholstered furniture in neutral shades.
In the living room, the armchair can be placed next to a sofa to create a complete relaxation area. In the bedroom, it can serve as an additional place for reading or relaxing, while in a children's room it can provide a comfortable sleeping area.
Thanks to its versatile design, the model easily adapts to different interior styles — from modern and Scandinavian to minimalist.
One of the main advantages of TAKKA Malmo is its compact size when folded.
The product width in its folded position is 900 mm, so the armchair takes up very little space and can be used even in rooms with limited floor area.
When necessary, the model unfolds to 2290 mm, transforming into a spacious sleeping area.
This combination of compactness and functionality makes TAKKA Malmo particularly suitable for:

This gives you functional furniture that does not take up unnecessary space and can be used whenever needed.

The armchair provides a comfortable place for reading, relaxing and playing, while also offering an additional sleeping area when needed.
The dark green color is calm and versatile, allowing the model to fit harmoniously into both a child's and a teenager's room.
